PUBLIC NOTICE:

Relocation of ACTT’s Head Office
 
Dear Valued Stakeholder
 
The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago’s (ACTT’s) Head Office currently located at the Pan American Life Plaza, St. Vincent Street, Port of Spain, will be relocating to the Maritime 
Centre, Level 1, 29 Tenth Avenue, Barataria.
 
Key dates:
•      Last working day at Pan American Life Plaza                 October 30, 2020
•      Staff will be working remotely                                           November 02-30, 2020
•      Reopening of the Head Office at Maritime Centre         December 01, 2020 (first official day)
 
 

In this regard, please note the following:

•     ACTT’s Statement on Recognition Service is temporarily suspended from October 26, 2020 to November 09, 2020.
•      Our Equivalence Assessment service remains temporarily suspended.
•      ACTT’s email addresses, website address and social media accounts will remain the same.
•      Payment of fees are to be made to the following account:
         Accreditation Council of Trinidad & Tobago
         First Citizens Bank Account #: 1441149
•      In light of the continued need for vigilance regarding public health, we will not be facilitating walk-in clients when our Head Office opens at the Maritime Centre.

ACTT provides authoritative advice and guidance on the recognition of foreign and local tertiary level institutions and qualifications.  Members of the public and all other stakeholders are invited to submit requests for a Statement on Recognition which provides details on the accreditation and/or recognition status of any post secondary and tertiary level institution or qualification, from any part of the world. A Statement on Recognition can assist you to:

    • ensure that the institution in which you intend to enrol is quality assured
    • meet the requirements for a scholarship application
    • qualify for the Caricom Single Market Economy (CSME) Skills Certificate’
    • gain entry to further study in Trinidad and Tobago or abroad
    • obtain employment or promotion

Required Documents

The following original documents must be presented where the qualification has already been awarded:

    • Original certificate of the qualification
    • Original final transcript in cases where the field of study is not stated on the original certificate of qualification
    • Official English translation of documents as detailed in paragraph 11 (as necessary)
    • Deed Poll, Marriage Certificate or Decree Absolute or the legal equivalent in the applicant’s country of origin (as necessary)

The applicant will be held solely responsible for the accuracy of all information contained in the application form for a Statement on Recognition, including the spelling of names of institutions and qualifications, dates and addresses. Inaccurate information may result in delays in processing the application, for which the Council shall not be responsible.

Application for a Statement on Recognition

Processing Time: minimum of 10 working days
Processing Fee: TT $150.00 per qualification

    • “Express” Service: 48 hours (Service suspended until further notice)
      Processing Fee: TT $300.00 per qualification
