Dr Gersha Pierre

Director, Accreditation and Quality Enhancement

Dr Gersha Pierre joins the ACTT team as the Director, Accreditation and Quality Enhancement, bringing with her over 18 years of experience in the field.  She previously worked as the Director of Quality Assurance at the University of the Southern Caribbean for 14 years, where she led numerous successful accreditation processes and initiatives, significantly enhancing organisational standards and practices.  Her extensive background includes roles such as Accreditation Officer, Assessment and Measurement Specialist, and school administrator.  She also taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in assessment and evaluation as well as regional geography.

 Dr Pierre holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education, (UWI), specialising in Service Quality in Higher education.  She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Testing and Measurement as well as the Graduate Certificate in Quality Assurance (GCQA) from the University of Melbourne.  Her undergraduate degree is a BSc in Industrial Management, and she has specialised training in leadership, assessment, evaluation, curriculum development, programme design and evaluation, policy development, and accreditation.
